JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
A Development Organizationis seekingthe services of a qualified, experienced and highly motivated Project Officer: Agriculture Speciatist fot the Strengthening IDP Resilience in the Extreme North (SIREN) Project, The position is base in Maroua The duration of the projectis one year;
Primary Responsibilities:
Program Quality:
Ensuring that agriculture trainings, seed and tools fairs are organized and implemented fol!owing CRS standards
2, Tracking progress of and reporting on agriculture/!ivelihood components of the project
3, Ensure integration of programinterventions to the extent feasiblewith other CRS programs and through linkages with other relevant organizations,
4 Work closely with CRS and pattnerstaff to ensure that data are used and analyzedas thebasis .forprocess documentationt program planning;learning and orientation and program performance measurement
5 Use appropriate projectmanagement toots to plan, review and track progress on projectimp!ementation as we[J• as on the utilization of project resources
6, Ensure the integration of gender andprqtection component in the project's agticultural livelihood activities as required 7/ Ensure the planning,implementation, and monitoring of all program activities B, Monitoring and Evaluation:
.10 Together with the MEALManager, provide oversight to internal MEAL systems to ensute high quality programming, Including developing
.the indicators and tools for verification and reporting
Supportihe design and implementation of surveys, assessment* and evaluations.
3, Support monitoringvisits to beneficiary communities,
4b Conduct ad-hoc visits and meetings with alls{akeholders,
Participate in the clusters and others working groups such as: Cash Working Group, Minimum Expenditure Basket taskforce, Food Security
Working Group, facilitatefeedback; learning, and information sharing among alt projectstakehoidersi Background, Experience & Requirements:
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Agronomy or. in Agriculture orequivalent relevant experience and Bachelor(s degree,
Minimum of 2 years of similar work experience required
Minimum 3 years of general work experience required
Experience in Agriculture and Livelihood programming is required,
Experience engaging with partner organizations
Experience contributing to the development of technical proposals
MEAL skills and experience an advantage
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel 'Wotd( PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications,hformation management systems
Personal Skills
Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills withability .to make sound judgment
.Strong relationship management skills aid the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse groupsc
Strong Written and verbal communication skills with ability to write reports
Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
RequirediDesired Foreign Language: Fluency in French and English Mastery Ota local language desired
Required Travel: Frequent travel between Maroua and program sites, as We!! as occasionaftravet to Yaoundé,
